Synopsis
Cash Settled Share-based Payments as per IFRS 2 REFER to the transactions where ‘Employees’ receive a cash amount equivalent to the value of company shares, RATHER than actual shares.
Employees are NOT considered the shareholders but instead receive a ‘cash settlement‘ based on the stock’s performance. The Co. typically determines the cash settlement by referencing the Market Value (MV) of its shares.
